The ASEAN summit in Malaysia was yet another crucial contribution to the increasing role that regionalism is playing in today's world economy. It featured not only important milestones in ASEAN's own initiatives in regional integration, but also agreements and statements within the broader regional formats such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

The mythical "super secret operation" supposedly "took place overnight at the Kapustin Yar launch site in Russia's southeastern Astrakhan region on July 8, 2024". In other words, the Kiev regime waited nearly a year and a half to tell us about this. Worse yet, this was months before Russia revealed the "Oreshnik's" very existence. And yet, Vasyl Malyuk, head of the SBU, insists that the operation was "classified and only known to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a few foreign heads of state at the time".

A landmark visit to North Korea has revived Indonesia-Pyongyang ties and raised questions about Jakarta's long-term strategy. As Indonesia modernizes its defense and hedges between global powers, even limited military cooperation with North Korea could shift Indo-Pacific dynamics.

A kleptocracy is literally "rule by thieves."

It is a form of government in which a network of ruling elites "steal public funds for their own private gain using public institutions." As analyst Thomas Mayne explains, it's "a system based on virtually unlimited grand corruption coupled with, in the words of American academic Andrew Wedeman, 'near-total impunity for those authorized to loot by the thief-in-chief'-namely the head of state."

I am an enthusiastic supporter of homeschooling. When parents are in a position to prioritize their children's education, young minds learn more information more quickly. A young person who excels in mathematics, for instance, is not forced to follow the regimented schedule of the state's curricula, in which geometry belongs to a certain grade level, an introduction to calculus must be kept secret until the final years of high school, and summer vacations interrupt the accumulation and application of new knowledge.
