Fisa 2.0: Trump Regime Wants Continuity of Government To Spy on the Us Population

Timothy Alexander Guzman, Global Research -"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety," that was a quote from  Benjamin Franklin on the dangers of giving up your freedoms so that you can feel somewhat safe. Trump once called on the US Congress to cancel FISA because it targeted him, "Kill FISA, It was illegally used against me, and many others, they spied on my campaign."  Now, Trump wants congress to reauthorize 'FISA section 702' (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) which allows the CIA, NSA, FBI and other agencies to spy on overseas communications involving US citizens without a warrant, but Trump changed his tune when  he recently wrote on his Truth Social that "I am willing to risk the giving up of my Rights and Privileges as a Citizen for our Great Military and Country!" and that "We need to stick together when this Bill comes before the House Rules Committee today to keep it CLEAN!" This is sort of a "Rules for thee, but not for me" moment for Trump.

The Associated Press (AP) reported that the mass surveillance of US citizens who communicate with people overseas will once again be a "legit" target of US intelligence agencies, "It incidentally sweeps up the conversations of any Americans who interact with those foreigners targeted for surveillance."  This is the slippery slope for total surveillance as the US Police State increases its power over its citizens. Trump increased the government budget with  "One Big Beautiful Bill" in July 2025 to hire more ICE agents to clamp down on illegal immigrants, but sooner or later, as the power of the Police State expands, those same ICE agents and others from various government agencies will be targeting ordinary US citizens for one reason or another, especially with the passage of FISA section 702.

In other words, the US government wants the power to illegally spy on everyone. Trump was never really concerned about the US constitution since one of the first actions he committed was  to silence anti-Israel protesters at US universities over the Gaza Genocide violating their First Amendment rights by claiming antisemitism.

The Hill reported that "the bill includes language that"complements existing law"by restating existing Fourth Amendment protections for Americans whose communications may be swept up as they speak with foreign targets" however, FISA section 702 allows only the government to spy on foreigners, not US citizens. "Section 702 only authorizes the government to spy on foreigners located abroad; privacy hawks want additional protections for Americans whose communications are captured in the process" continued, "The lack of a warrant requirement is sure to be a disappointment to those who have demanded one."

FISA section 702 authorizes intelligence agencies to collect all communications of "foreign targets" outside US borders with "permission" from the FISA court. The problem with that is when the US government surveils a foreign target, it also collects data from American citizens they're in contact with. The FBI, DEA, ICE and others can search that database for information on American citizens without a court-issued warrant, in other words, intelligence agencies will not need a judge or jury, they will not need 'probable cause' which they can now bypass your Fourth Amendment rights that prevents the US government from conducting unreasonable searches and seizures of you and your personal property. They can now go through American citizens private data that can be based on a hunch. This type of behavior by the US government will be normalized which is a dangerous precedent. It's the police state George Orwell warned us about in his classic book,

.

Expanding Surveillance: Trump and the Palantir Threat

So who would be collecting data on US citizens ? Without a doubt, Palantir would be one of the Big Tech companies which was created by a group of Globalists and Zionists such as Peter Thiel, Stephen Cohen, Joe Lonsdale and Alex Karp that develops data integration and analytics platforms. Trump has supported Palantir by allowing it to help the government expand its surveillance apparatus giving them unlimited power. According to a  New York Times report published in 2025 titled, 'Trump Taps Palantir to Compile Data on Americans' said that "In March, President Trump signed an executive order calling for the federal government to share data across agencies, raising questions over whether he might compile a master list of personal information on Americans that could give him untold surveillance power."  Trump would most likely want anti-Israel activists monitored with this type of surveillance. "Mr. Trump has not publicly talked about the effort since. But behind the scenes, officials have quietly put technological building blocks into place to enable his plan. In particular, they have turned to one company: Palantir, the data analysis and technology firm."  US taxpayers are funding Palantir's work with the federal government with $113 million and another $795 million to spy on it's own population through numerous agencies including the Pentagon, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of War (DOW), the Social Security Administration (SSA), the Center for Decease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS):

The Trump administration has expanded Palantir's work across the federal government in recent months. The company has received more than $113 million in federal government spending since Mr. Trump took office, according to public records, including additional funds from existing contracts as well as new contracts with the Department of Homeland Security and the Pentagon. (This does not include a $795 million contract that the Department of Defense awarded the company last week, which has not been spent.
Representatives of Palantir are also speaking to at least two other agencies - the Social Security Administration and the Internal Revenue Service - about buying its technology, according to six government officials and Palantir employees with knowledge of the discussions

What's even more concerning about the Trump Regime's relationship with Palantir is it's involvement in the Covid scam and how they helped distribute vaccines for the CDC:

In an interview last year, Mr. Karp, Palantir's chief executive,  said the company's role was "the finding of hidden things" by sifting through data.
Palantir has long worked with the federal government. Its government contracts span the Defense Department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. During the pandemic, the Biden administration signed a contract with Palantir to manage the distribution of vaccines through the C.D.C.

Can finding the "hidden things" translate into something more sinister ? What if there is another pandemic scam and they want to make everyone take their Big Pharma vaccines or any other drugs ? Would they look for people who reject the US government and its policies in any way on social media platforms and elsewhere?

What is certain is that FISA section 702 would give the US government unlimited power to spy on its citizens private lives concerning thier communications with foreigners. They will be able to navigate through financial and medical records and social media accounts, etc. One thing can be said about the Trump regime's partnership with Palantir is that that US has become a Fascist Technocracy that will monitor every aspect of your personal life. This is '1984' in the making where the government will be tracking your every move if of course, the people allow it to happen.
